What you'll do, Summary

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Fleet and Equipment Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will have strict adherence to and upholding of safety standards.
Fleet and Equipment Supervisor will develop and enforce safety policies and procedures
to ensure drivers and fleet compliance with applicable regulations.


Job duties will include:

  • Managing of fleet fuel software and tracking of fuel usage and issuing fuel cards
  • Monitor vehicle performance and utilization to optimize fleet efficiency.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize vehicle downtime and maximize reliability.
  • Scheduling and overseeing the installation and upkeep of vehicle trackers & cameras.  Perform installations if required.
  • Oversee the acquisition, onboarding, maintenance, and disposal of company vehicles, trailers, and equipment while maintaining compliance with all legal & regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the branding of fleet vehicles/equipment.
  • Perform monthly fleet/equipment checks for visual inspection and mechanical needs.
  • Schedule and drop off fleet/equipment for mechanical repairs/maintenance as needed.
  • Point of contact for dealership/mechanic/field installers/insurance & towing company
  • Preparing trucks for new hires including cleaning, stocking equipment/tools, etc.
  • Working alongside the Purchasing Manager for all financial approvals
  • Registering new equipment, creating & assigning equipment number & adding to software
  • Checking in and out equipment to field installers.  Performing a visual check before and after and documenting any changes in equipment condition or need for repair/replacement.
  • Ensuring equipment is checked back in in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing and following up with any insurance claims due to vehicle incidents
  • Maintaining maintenance, tags, and tires on equipment trailers
  • Entering all necessary documents, tags, etc. into vehicle binders for each vehicle
  • Ensuring all necessary safety equipment is in each vehicle (including safety plans)

Job Qualifications:

  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must have a valid SC driver’s license with good DMV record.
  • Strict adherence and upholding of safety standards.
  • Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure driver and fleet compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist with vehicle and equipment procurement, including negotiating and managing vendor contracts.
  • Properly onboard new vehicles/equipment into our process/software
  • Dropping off and picking up of various vehicles/equipment as required
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Computer, Typing, Email, and Document Management Skill
  • Ability to use fleet tracking software for various purposes, reports, etc
