Position Summary

The Area Supervisor is responsible for a wide range of field management, reporting, and coaching activities.  Area Supervisor is to ensure there is consistent improvement on the QI team and the field install team.  Hold meetings weekly and as needed in person, in training center, and in field.  Ensure QI team and Installers are installing according to standards consistently, quality is upheld, disciplinary issues are handled quickly/professionally, and the Owner is kept up to date.  The Area Supervisor is to communicate consistently and collaborate with the Customer Service Manager to meet all customer service needs.  Installers refers to both sub-contractor and hourly installers.

When the Area Supervisor is successful, they are utilizing KPI’s to create action plans and incremental improvement. The owner is aware of all pertinent information, team leaders are engaged and collaborated with. Installers are incrementally improving as well as the quality of installations.  The owner and team leaders can trust the pulse and feedback given by the field manager 100%. 

Starting pay 40k (experience will determine salary)  
Reportable Objectives

  • Maintain excellent knowledge of company policy and company procedures.
  • Ensure installers are aware of and adhere to sub-division/area/builder requirements.
  • Lead by example in following and upholding all company policies, procedures, installation methods.
  • Accurately and thoroughly walk projects to spot check QI with meticulous detail and coach as needed.
  • Ensure Consistent Improvement on:
    • Quality of Installations through one on ones as well as training sessions and phase meetings
    • Reducing Errors, Go Backs, Failed Inspections
    • Reducing Warranty
    • Thoroughness and Process of QI Team
    • Uniform Installations across markets
  • Attend meetings with customers, builders, team members as scheduled by the Owner, Operations Analyst and CSM
  • Oversee and make command decisions on major install corrections, warranty items, etc. with team.
  • Calibrate all Plumbing Installer’s crimpers every 30 days or less.
  • Work with the Operations Analyst to develop a plan to train and supervise all QI’s.
  • Respond to special requests, emergencies, and projects as required in your area.  After dealing with any of the above, keep the Operations Analyst fully informed via email about who, what, when, where, and why.
  • Especially keep the Operations Analyst informed of any decisions that you make that may impact Plumbing Solutions financially or expose the company to risk.

Key Performance Indicators

  • A detailed, written plan for training your subordinates.  Update as necessary and track your progress.
  • Evaluate your subordinates on a regular basis (every 90 days minimum) and be able to show the results of your evaluations.
  • A regular communications trail showing communication with the Operations Analyst after making significant decisions in the field.
  • Provide the Operations Analyst with regular updates on emergencies, projects, and changing requirements in your area (monthly).
